Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake / Informatica) – Long-Term Contract

A Texas-based organization is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Snowflake, Informatica PowerCenter/IICS, ETL development, and enterprise data warehousing. This role will support large-scale data integration and analytics initiatives, helping design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and reporting solutions in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter and/or IICS
  • Develop complex Snowflake SQL scripts, data transformations, and data integration solutions
  • Acquire and integrate data from multiple sources including Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, and other structured and unstructured data sources
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders on data integration strategies and solution design
  • Develop automated testing and validation processes to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support all phases of the SDLC
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and process flows
  • Analyze new business requirements and recommend enhancements to existing data solutions
  • Support ongoing operations, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise data platforms

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience developing ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter and/or IICS
  • 8+ years of experience integrating data from multiple sources and technologies
  • 8+ years of experience developing complex and high-performing Snowflake SQL solutions
  • Strong experience supporting data warehouse, analytics, business intelligence, or performance management environments
  • Experience with technical documentation, data modeling, and process diagramming tools
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to develop efficient, scalable, and maintainable solutions using software development best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Experience with Python development and automation
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services
  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, MuleSoft, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with AI-enabled tools such as Snowflake Cortex, Snowflake Intelligence, or Informatica Claire
  • Experience working with healthcare, regulated, PII, or PHI data environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
